This policy explains how the TinyKnowledge publishing tool ("the app") handles data when it connects to TikTok.

Who uses the app

The app is an internal tool. It is used only by the TinyKnowledge team to upload videos we produce to our own TikTok account. It has no public sign-up.

What we access

TikTok account basics (open ID, display name, avatar) – to confirm which account the video is sent to.
Access and refresh tokens issued by TikTok – to upload videos on our behalf.

We do not access followers, messages, comments, contacts or any data about other TikTok users.

How we use and store it

Tokens are stored encrypted on our own server and are used only to upload TinyKnowledge videos. We do not sell, share or use this data for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.

Retention and deletion

Tokens are kept while the TikTok connection is active. Disconnecting the app in TikTok (Settings → Security → Apps and services) revokes access immediately, and we then delete the stored tokens.

Third parties

Videos and tokens are sent only to TikTok through the official TikTok API. Narration and fact research for our videos are produced with third-party AI services; these never receive TikTok data.

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
